Looking for a reasonable mid range hotel around Hanoi Airport is no easy task. As usual our prime source of reference is Agoda site. We came across a hotel called AVI Airport hotel.
Located just five minute drive from the airport, or roughly 20 minute walk (but we didn't walk, no one did), the hotel is located on the other side of the airport highway.

We arrived here at the hotel about 9:00 pm and even the tourist guide
having problem locating the hotel. After a number of asking around, we
were greeted by a young chap, could be the relative of the hotel owner.
The room is basic, nothing much to write about. We had to take hot water for our tea downstairs and it was a long stairs.
