The concept of the mall is Factory Outlet, very much similar with Johor Premium Outlet (JPO).
Based on google maps estimation, it is 56 km from KLCC and should take about one hour drive from the centre of KL. Looking for it is not difficult at all just head towards KLIA and as you see the KLIA mosque you are very much on course.
Look who is here!! |
First impression of this place is all about Japanese, feels much like in an AEON mall but the biggest different is the space. As we were there on Tuesday morning (yes I was on leave but not because of wanting to come here), there was hardly any shoppers.
When you see a flight departure and arrival information it doesn't mean you are at an airport. This is just to inform you that you shouldn't miss your flight or forgetting anyone you want to pick up. This is not a surprise at all because the owner of this project is the operator of the airport as well.
The idea of shopping while waiting for your flight is already implemented clearly only by visiting KLIA2 where you will be 'forced' to walk through hundreds of shopping outlets before even check-in your flight.
It seems like this idea of shopping is expanded further out from the airport itself and surprise surprise, you have a bus waiting for you free-of-charge of course. Just don't forget your boarding pass!
If you are here you must be into shopping. Being factory outlet in nature, there are some big brands scattered on the four corners of the mall such as NIKE, adidas, PUMA, NB, TOPMAN etc.
Looking at their prices............not bad.
The idea of this place is for you to feel the four distinctive concepts; Sunshine Square, Pier Walk, Tropical Plaza, and Beach Walk. I could not see these concepts, all I could see is area for foods, and shopping outlet. Maybe still in the making.
We also found this sizable cake with a bargain.
You don't have to hurry, not unlike IKEA where you have to compete for parking space. Here you have all the space in the world just for you. Just don't leave your wallet at home.
