TH stands for Tabung Haji, the pilgrimage fund, who currently owns five full-fledged hotel that includes one in Kota Kinabalu. We were eagerly waiting for the chance to stay in one after having missed our chance during our trip to Kuala Terengganu.
It is not exactly located at the city centre but travel to the waterfront shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes. That is only if the traffic is mild, in which case peak hours should be avoided. The best way for traveling is by rented car and taking taxi to the city centre should be avoided since it will dent your wallet by RM50 one way. Luckily we have our relative who stay in the vicinity and transportation is in the form of family arrangement.
TH obviously has an Islamic concept with motives and decorations resemble closely with Islamic symbols.
The room view looking out towards the sea. |
Since it is quite a distance from the seafront, our room view is not sea
nor empty field but rather houses. This hotel is apparently located in
an urban dwelling much on the upper segment with bungalow type property
aplenty.
We have chosen three-bed room and the facility is reasonably good and the condition of the room is quite clean.
There is breakfast bundled into the room price, and since we were there for three nights, the only complain about the breakfast is the repetition of similar menu. Somehow, food options is rather fine.
Simple but adequate deco. |
