H8. Fraser's Hill Bungalow
Really a gigantic bungalow, with not so much taste, just huge.
The bungalow has two sections, the first section where the entrance is, is occupied by the caretaker and his families. The second section in the adjoining building is for the guest. It has six rooms with two double beds in each. It is a three story building and you have it all for yourself.
The bungalow is located on the north east side of Fraser's Hill, very secluded, the nearest neighbor is about 200 meter away, on top of another small hill.
This is the view looking out from our room.
Nine of us occupying the guest section but it still feel really big, so much spaces for so many potential.
Big space. |
As there are not many patrons at any one time, maintenance is done at its minimum. The tv set is not flat screen type, the pool table is actually a carom board, with no striker in sight.
We decided to go outdoors at night, doing some barbecuing, and eating dinner prepared by the caretaker.

F7. BONJOUR DUBU DUBU
Bonjour Garden
A la Paris - Bon Appétit
It sounded French and as you rightly guess, Bonjour Garden is in essence a French Restaurant. But wait a minute! If you look at the chefs profile, they are actually Japanese.
The concept behind it is really garden-like setting, with relaxing ambience, having French cuisine prepared by Japanese chef.
Would it be perfect combination?
We visited the 5th Bonjour Garden in Malaysia, located at the Intermark, a very modern mix of office and shopping block at the heart of Kuala Lumpur's Jalan Ampang.
As this is a bakery plus western food outlet, we stick to the western food to fulfill our taste bud.
So its time for spaghetti and fish n chips. Are these French food? Sound Italian and English here.
So its time for spaghetti and fish n chips. Are these French food? Sound Italian and English here.
We were there closer to closing time, nearly 10:00pm, so it didn't take that long to get our order.
Was it just me being biased, but taking food late as we did and found that the food still feel fresh must have something to do with storage and preparation.
I consider this Bonjour Garden as having nice ambience, good service, good food, and doesn't cost any extraordinary.
We enjoyed it much.
DUBU DUBU
It is now time to look east.
Urban Korean Food.
Yes their motto, and Korean food is no stranger in Malaysia, after the explosion of everything K, the food eventually follow suit.
Two not the greatest fan of Korean food were with us, as a non-bias outsiders, to judge on the food.
Dubu Dubu simply mean tofu. What a co-incidence and tofu we ordered, among other foods.
They usually have promotions, and with reasonable price. Again it is very subjective so we do not want to say it as expensive or cheap.
The checking point is kimchi and Korean tea. Our taste bud have shifted a bit for the last few years, so we have no problem with K food, but what about the brothers?
I think the beef is perfect, taste as good as its look. But again, we cannot be the judge.
The feedback from our guest is..............aaaa.......hhmmm.............ok.
But I am sure they say it out of courtesy.
So either Bonjour or Dubu Dubu, we will say it is a split decision.
