T29. Teluk Intan Leaning Tower vs Mee Udang

The background in our photo is the leaning tower at Teluk Intan.  There have been many comparisons made on this tower with the leaning tower at Pisa, Italy.  The Teluk Intan version is a bit more unique because you can supplement it with Mee Udang (Prawn Noodles) at the food stall just next to the tower.
We will match them up and see the score for the winner.
Teluk Intan is related to Perak River.

As a licensed travellers, we chosed the route that have least vehicles.  But again, being Cherasites (Cheras folks), it is not easy to find the route on Friday morning that is relatively free from heavy traffic.  So we just took the KESAS highway connected at Shah Alam to North-bound NKVE.  We got stucked at that NKVE bottleneck for a while, but not too bad.  Moreover, we had had a quick breakfast at Awan Besar RnR so there is no reason for another stopover.

The target is to take the exit at BIDOR, take the normal road to Teluk Intan, and we should be there by noon.  That's the first target.  The second target is the mee udang.

Just after the bottleneck at around Sungai Buloh RnR, the trip was rather smooth.  We were in two cars carrying nine family members, eager to climb the leaning tower.  After a three-hour drive, we reached the outskirt of Teluk Intan, but we need the help of Mr Waze to find that tower.
Target identified: mee udang, says Adzim.
Teluk Intan still use the scratch and display type of parking coupon, and you can buy the coupon at the stall just infront of the food stall.  Parking rate is RM0.40 per hour.  We did not plan to be at the tower for more than one hour, so we just put a piece of the coupon.  Mind you, we still have extras of the coupon.  We can give it free to anyone going TI.  Any takers?

Seriously leaning isn't it?
If you don't pay too much attention to the food stall, you will see the tower just in front of you.  It does lean towards our left (view from the food stall).  How many degrees does it lean?  Maybe we can find out later when we climb it.  The clock shows nearly 12:00pm, and Friday prayer is still like one hour or so away, so we went to the Compleks Menara Condong to answer some natures call.
Much better than KL ha.
Ha mee udang?.......
Natures call have been answered, and a bit of shopping have been done, so let's climb.  But....................
Closed?
It's closed now, cannot climb.  Seriously?  We saw few people in the tower earlier, but when we came back, its already closed.  Ahh, for the Friday prayer I suppose.  But isn't it a bit early?
Never mind, let's just take photos.  And take plenty.

The history says the tower was built in 1885.

Ladies
And gentlemen.
Enough taking photo, time for the second target.....the mee udang.
Since we are not familiar with this town's mee udang, we randomly selected the stall with big sign promoting the mee udang.
The mee is covered by the udang, is this ada mee di sebalik udang?
Nothing to say here, the taste of prawn noodles is excellent.  I counted there were four prawns, which make it as if the noodles is secondary.
 Isn't this nice Tom?
Yes. I want some.
Seriously good....
Even the stall-operator-recommended nasi goreng Bangkok special, which you will not find in KL also cannot beat my mee udang.

The recommended nasi goreng Bangkok special
Gone.....

And the winner is...............mee udang.

Any suggestion of mee udang that can beat this?  Your suggestions are always welcome.  We have to carry on now, see you later at Pangkor Island.
